Food & Drink

We offer a 3 course set menu on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights served at 7pm

Dinner at Dolffanog Fawr is highly recommended. Our philosophy is to use good quality fresh ingredients, producing simple, yet delicious meals.  Lorraine is an enthusiastic and accomplished cook, taking inspiration from years of working along side top chefs in the hospitality industry. Our menus are seasonally inspired, giving a flavour of Britain & France, combined with some of the best produce from Wales’ natural larder including Welsh Black Beef, Snowdonia Salt Marsh Lamb & Wild Dysynni Sea Trout.

We can be flexible with the menu, and provided prior notice is given, can cater for most dietary needs, and dislikes.  Meals are generally served ‘dinner party style’ around a large oak table where banter and conversation flows – should this not be to your taste a separate table is available.  We are also more than happy to recommend and book local pubs and restaurants.

After a good nights sleep in a large comfortable bed, it follows that you should expect a quality breakfast to set you up for the day ahead.   You can choose your breakfast to be as light or as hearty as you like…

The sausages we use are award winning, the bacon dry cured; the eggs free range, cooked however you like; and there’s homemade preserves to go alongside the home baked bread made from locally milled stoneground organic flour.   Then there are also the fish and fruit options…

You will find an unusually comprehensive, good value and well researched wine list at Dolffanog Fawr; one that has evolved over time, with inspiration taken from our travels and love of wine.   There are over seventy wines to choose from, including a select cellar collection of oddments and older wines.   We also stock a selection of bottled Welsh ales and lagers.
