Where we are

Grid Ref:729104

By Road

LL36 9AJ, though when using Satnav to find us, please ignore any attempt to send you down the old gated road around the back of the lake, it’s a lovely route to walk  but not so much fun in a car!  We’re on the B4405 –  turning off the A487 we’re approx. ½ mile on the right hand side; approaching from Tywyn we’re on the left after passing the lake.

Take care once you enter Wales, the reputation for speed cameras is well deserved.  There are very few fixed cameras but there sometimes seems to be a white van in every layby!  The welsh roads are more filmed that the beautiful countryside.

By Rail

Machynlleth train station is 11 miles away.  To make the most of your stay in the area it is best to arrive by car; public transport is a little limited.   If  travelling by train from London, in our experience it is a good option to hire a car at Shrewsbury

By Air

The closest airport is Manchester, the best option would be to hire a car from here.
