Another busy day on Tywyn beach
The sun’s shining the kids have broken up and Tywyn beach is still empty! Where’s my surf board! This spring weather is absolutely stunning and fabulous news for the farmers who have just started lambing. Morgan had a trip to Parc Y Scarlets at the weekend and scored 2 tries for Aberystwyth under 9s and then scored several more in the games on Sunday for the under 8s. We’re enjoying a really busy start to the season with most of the guests either climbing Cadair Idris or doing some of the other shorter fantastic walks such as the Torrent Walk and the Precipice Walk.
The New Season Begins
The decorating is finished, the ski holiday is a distant memory and the bookings are rolling in. We’re enjoying some fabulous weather at the moment and to think there was a foot of snow on the ground this time last year! Our first guests of the year stayed at the weekend and even managed Cadair Idris in under 3 hours – there’s a challenge to beat! We’ve completely re-decorated the Bathroom in Wnion Room and are just waiting for Kev at #tafarndwynant to produce some new art work for the bedroom walls. On a sad note the large Tal-y-llyn dog otter was killed on the road while we were on holiday – perhaps rough justice as he was on the way to eat our neighbours chickens at the time, fortunately there are still two males and a female with cubs on the lake at the moment although I think they may drop down the river as the sea trout start to run.
